Process that I'm going through

This is 30 second animatic 

(includes mockup drawing after 14seconds to see timing)

I've been thinking about how to time out my storyline again.

I was going to include front scene and the last scene 

after cutting out some middle scene where Larry runs away from the snake. 

Tanya said that the running scene is good for transition and would rather cut down the first whole scene and then link it with stewart's story (story3) instead of jin's.

I'm still struggling to time out some middle sequence but I'm getting there.

What I've done in few weeks

This is the video that I've exported using premiere pro.

At the moment it is 9 seconds and I'm planning to have around 6~9sec more for the middle bit (15~18second) 

I am still working on the middle section on flash and here are the process.

After drawing another snake I might start to draw first and last section of the animation and see how much more I have to draw.

Environment experiment

This is how it might look like. I wouldn't be using too much color 

but still there would be gradation of pinks before the night comes with bit of purple.

When the night comes it would be purple and blue.

With Larry in the environment Larry's white is washed out almost so it would be great to use 

For the color pallet:

Scene could be pastel blue, pink, brown

Larry can have turquoise in his white to stand out and his blue can be more brighter.

Snake can have dark purple or blue in his color scheme 

Things to do

At this stage only draw line for snake and cube for the head

Purple for snake might look nice.

For the snake scene change it to the scene where it curls

Shadow Character Refine

This is a transparent drawing to see how shadow character might move in my animation.

This is how I came up with the character.

Colour pallet

Mostly

When Elsa is having a hard time and feeling fragile the colors become more pastel and light

and When Elsa is happy and playing with her magic the colors become more bright,clear and neon.

There is more solid darker purple and pink when there is an attack/ or when something happens. 

There is a scene where Olaf comes out and sings. In this scene there are weird color pallets that contrasts with other colors in the movie. Such as bright yellow, pastel yellow, orange and green.

Final Illustrations

The saturated color of Larry shows  his personality

In First Illustration Larry is in the actual Savannah environment

In the Second illustration Larry is unconscious therefore he is more faded than the first illustration.

Larry falls onto the ground; he is exhausted therefore decides to chill.

This illustration has been sketched for my final, I just have to color them in :)

Refined Storyboard

Previous story (#3) It ends with Larry tripping over.

My Story:

Larry cannot move so he stays still, 

then slowly floundering his hand Larry reaches his arm out to the horn.

When he raise his head up and sees the horn he sees double vision.

Then he sees the pond and decided to take a rest.

Larry is exhausted but he keeps walking towards the pond (over the hill, across the savannah trees).

Finally Larry reaches to the pond and sits down beside the lake.

While watching his reflection in the water Larry is emotionally depressed and feel guilty.

(Larry hears unconscious voice of black market rhino laughing and making fun of him)

Slowly from the birds eye point of vie shadow creeps in, not just one but multiples.

It swirls above Larry's head and then covers Larry's eye sight, Larry is afraid.

Then all things black out; When everything clears up Larry finds himself lying down on the ground and he realize that it was all dream.

He reaches out to the rolled over horn and he grabs it put it back on his head.

****I had to link the story to Katina's one story(#5) so I've changed the ending slightly****

In previous story Larry encounter with the sad looking Rhino but in Katina's story Larry bumps into Rhino's butt. Realistically he cannot bump into his butt if Larry has seen the Rhino so I had to exclude this scene to make a flow.

and maybe for the 2 illustrations that I have to do I might make him do poses for extra fun!

I'm still not quite sure about the storyboard so I will have to re draw everything again.
