Things fixed in class

Story board:
1. First scene might start off with Larry's horn rolling down the ground.

2. for the angel & Devil scene rather than having an actual character
we are going to have a Black Market Rhino instead. (angel okapi-> Maybe white rhino)

or rather it is just going to be conscious voice in Larry's head.

Okapi colour:
It is going to be baby blue/or some kind of other light blue with white stripes.
(The hair is going to be dark blue or darker colour than the body)

4.then straight after on his right shoulder the bad devil Okapi appears and says “Yes yes do keep the horn you really look stunning in it!”.

5.Larry is anxious and feels guilty about what he has done to the Rhino but he is afraid that other animal herds will make fun of him (In this scene the many shadows with the laughing silhouette appears and mocks Larry) Larry shuts his eyes being afraid.

6.After Larry opens his eyes he encounters with rhino without the horn; Larry feels sorry about what he has done to Rhino but he doesn't know what to do.

1. He is walking along the field thinking he is cool,
he looks at himself in the mirror and he looks handsome in it.

2. Imagination Shadow of other Okapi tags his shoulder

3.He is chased by shadows (perhaps in the shape of Okapis)
:in this scene you can only see shadows running around the field

4. Larry hides from shadows and behind the wall he encounters with rhino without the horn.

5. Larry feels sorry about what he has done to Rhino but he doesn't know what to do.

Character Design process for the final story

So our final story main character is either horse/ giraffe /Shetland pony or Okapi
so I chose to do horse for my main character.
Our sub character is rhino and I will be developing this character soon as well.

After drawing in a real horse form I decided to simplify down my character into more circular shape

Playing with shapes

Still playing with shapes

Then I chose baymax as my character model
so I could develop my character further

which didn't quite work out well.

Here was the point that I got stuck and decided to brainstorm why the character need a horn
From this point I wanted to give a personality to my character so I could keep developing it.

This horse character needs a horn because he doesn't like himself that much
rather than being him self he wants to be something else.

assuming this he is quite timid, not that attractive at all..

I've tried to make my character into unattractive shaggy horse

In this drawing i tried to make him look like an idiot
with tongues out and eyes out of focus.

He looks like a wimp out of confidence

I've adjusted his Scale to see what suits him best
(skinny and average size of head fitted him the best)

Silhouette drawing

After all this sketching I realized my character looked similar to Family guy characters

so I tried to draw him into more clear basic shapes.

Semester2 Assignment 1 Character design

so our class started off by designing a red panda character

Then they wanted to change the story
which requires animal formed couch

Here is some of my attempt to make Red panda into the couch

Then thought about a doll formed couch

abstract animal formed couch

Back to Redpanda/ fox couch

I've stopped developing character because they changed the story again!

Revealing the scene idea

I decided to simplify my idea of bird diving in because on the presentation time the tutor said It is unnecessary to have bird diving in.
Therefore I just wanted to portray how the pink and white terrace was back then when It existed.
So my idea is to start off really dark (like you can only see outline of the pond)
and then as the frame moves on it reveals whole environment
representing how White and pink terrace is gone but it is still in people's memory(in their mind).
Therefore it is crucial to put really dark shades onto the environment so I could make it look classic and historical at the same time as making it really simple.

I have to work on few more shots and I have to film a scene which reveals clearly at the end.
but at the moment I am playing on lights to see dark shadows but could have outlines in frames so I could make it look like if it is revealing from the history/or memory(past).
